ARTIST STATEMENT

My work explores the relationship between nature, memory, and cultural narrative through Oil painting. Rooted in a deep engagement with water as both subject and symbol, my current series explores fluidity, reflection, and transformation. I use layered color, texture, and gesture to evoke emotional resonance and a sense of place.

With a foundation in arts education and decades of professional practice, my approach is both intuitive and informed—balancing technical skill with conceptual depth. Each piece invites viewers to pause, reflect, and engage with the quiet power of the natural world.

My Current Series

The My Water Stories series was created during a crucial time of introspection, allowing me to identify my core values. Throughout my artistic journey, I strive to express profound thoughts and emotions. My goal is to convey joy and resilience while capturing the sublime beauty and immense power found in nature's vast offerings. I translate my experiences at the water's edge into painted reflections.
